Party Activities
UPON ARRIVAL: While welcoming the guests, the DJ/MC will set the mood for the arrival and, where applicable, introduction of any special guests.
INTRODUCTIONS: Upbeat music accompanies the entrance of the Guest of Honor, or your DJ/MC will lead your guests in singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" or shouting, "Surprise!"
FOOD SERVICE: Depending upon the type of meal being served (buffet, food stations, or sit-down dinner), your DJ/MC will coordinate with the caterer to initiate food service. Service should begin with the Guest of Honor, where applicable.
SPECIAL SONG ACTIVITIES: Our DJ/MC's understand the importance of guest participation. We can stimulate this through fun songs and activities. Here are just a few songs to keep the celebration alive: "CELEBRATION," "SHOUT," "MONY, MONY," "HOT HOT HOT," "COTTON-EYED JOE," "TWIST & SHOUT," "LOVE SHACK," "THE HOKEY POKEY," "THE CUPID SHUFFLE, "THE CHA-CHA SLIDE," "THE ELECTRIC SLIDE," "YMCA," and many more. The fun will NEVER end !
TOAST OR ROAST: A microphone will be available to either toast or roast the Guest of Honor.
CUTTING THE CAKE: Time to announce the cutting of the cake. For a Birthday Party, the DJ/MC can lead the guests in singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," if this was not done earlier.
OPENING GIFTS/GIFT EXCHANGE/DOOR PRIZES: Depending on the type of event, your DJ/MC can announce the time for the Guest of Honor to open gifts or coordinate a gift exchange or door prize giveaways.
EXTRA, EXTRA: Please feel free to let us know if we can make any special announcements. This can be done any time during the event.

Wedding Reception Activities
UPON ARRIVAL: While welcoming the guests, the DJ/MC will set the mood for the arrival and introduction of the wedding party. Let us suggest some Jazz, Easy Listening, or New Age. The DJ/MC will also announce a reminder to sign your guest book or photo frame.
INTRODUCTIONS: A formal introduction of the wedding party is first on the list. Upbeat music accompanies each entrance, and all the guests are invited to stand as the bride and groom enter. The first dance, usually the bride and groom's favorite love song, immediately follows.
FOOD SERVICE: Depending upon the type of meal being served (buffet, food stations, or sit-down dinner), your DJ/MC will coordinate with the caterer to initiate food service. Service should begin with the bride and groom.
OTHER TRADITIONAL DANCES: "BUTTERFLY KISSES" and "DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL" are our favorites for the bride and her father's dance. The groom and his mother are urged to follow, and "WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD," "STAND BY ME," and "THROUGH THE YEARS" are all favorites for this special moment. Your DJ/MC then invites the guests to join in.

DOLLAR DANCE: This promises extra spending cash for the honeymoon. Guests are invited to dance with the bride or groom. Each guest pays a dollar or more for the dance; "Five, ten, Visa, or MasterCard are also greatly appreciated!"
THE TOAST: The toast, which can be champagne, sparkling wine, or any other beverage, occurs at your convenience. It usually takes place before the cutting of the cake, but it can also lead into the first dance or precede the dinner service. Your DJ/MC will coordinate the perfect time with you and with your caterer and other professional services.
CUTTING THE CAKE: Time to announce the cutting of the cake. We suggest "CHAPEL OF LOVE," "I'M INTO SOMETHING GOOD," or "HOW SWEET IT IS (TO BE LOVED BY YOU" to set the mood.
BOUQUET TOSS: All single eligible ladies to the dance floor! We suggest "ALL THE SINGLE LADIES," "GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN," or "MICKEY" to set the mood. At the count of three, the bride tosses the bouquet behind her. The lucky girl who catches it remains nearby.
GARTER REMOVAL AND TOSS: This time the DJ/MC gathers all single, eligible men to the dance floor. As the bride sits and presents her leg to the groom, he slowly removes the garter. You bet we have music for that! Suggestions include "THE STRIPPER," "YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR HAT ON," and "JUST A GIGOLO." With a victorious wave and a count of three, he tosses it behind him to one lucky fellow.
GARTER PLACED ON BOUQUET GIRL: The girl who caught the bouquet takes the bride's seat. The lucky fellow now has the privilege of placing the garter on the girl under the supervision of the bride and groom. Music suggestions here include "THE STROKE," "HOT CHILD IN THE CITY," or "LEGS." All this, of course, raises cheers from the guests.
LAST DANCE: After fun, dancing, and romancing, it is time to wind things down. The DJ/MC announces the last dance for the bride and groom. They then end the reception with romance in the air.
LAST MINUTE ANNOUNCEMENTS: The DJ/MC will announce a reminder to collect rice, bubbles, or birdseed. The rice/birdseed is tossed or bubbles blown at the new couple at the time of their departure into a beautiful new future.
EXTRA, EXTRA: Please feel free to let us know if we can make any special announcements. This can be done any time during the reception. These may include birthdays, anniversaries, special acknowledgments of certain guests (out of town, etc.) or upcoming events.
